Turquoise Tiger Healing Arts Centre Studio Launch

Turquoise Tiger Healing Arts Centre Studio Launch!

On October 19, 2017 the doors to Turquoise Tiger Healing Arts Centre were opened! How did we get here? Over the past year, I had been struggling to find a way to bring my two businesses together. To not have two websites, two names, two business cards and so on.

Turquoise Tiger Face Painting has been operating for nearly ten years and in the past two years, I branded my own business for Tai Chi with Taiji Training. I was quite attached to both of these businesses and proud of what I had accomplished. But I had to bring them together under one roof.

Completing a Business Plan

I was fortunate to be accepted into York Region’s Business Starter Program. What a great opportunity this proved to be. Through this program I was given assistance to write a business plan which was very difficult but completely worth it.  With its submission, it passed the review board and I received a grant to assist me with my endeavours.

Introducing the Turquoise Tiger Healing Arts Centre

Through this process, Turquoise Tiger Healing Arts Centre was born. What made these two paths be able to run side by side and even interconnect, is their underlying purpose for health, wellness, connection, growth, recovery, expression, joy.

So my new home also became a studio with dedicated spaces for Face and Body painting as well as Taiji Training. Although these will continue to be available in locations throughout York Region and the GTA, my studio in Aurora will be the hub from which I operate.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – by a Sword!

Ribbon Cutting at Turquoise Tiger Healing Arts Centre Aurora

With some of the people present who helped me reach this point, we conducted the ceremonial ribbon cutting. Sliced by a sword!

The studio was blessed with the presence of supportive friends and community throughout the day. I was so happy with the quiet little nook, like a secret find in the middle of town, that I can share with people.

I enjoyed seeing various circles of friends talk amongst themselves, meeting new people and making contacts. There were moments of decorative body painting, trying out some tai chi moves, playing with swords and the standard Canadian kitchen gathering!

You are warmly welcomed to contact me to come and enjoy this space. Take some time for you.  To breathe, to feel heard, to feel seen. To experience the process of joyfully expressing yourself through movement, awareness, and creative expression.
